  • Take proper rest after surgery. Don’t stress your eyes much and avoid direct contact with bright light. It is advisable to take two to three hours of sleep in the darkroom post-operation. It helps to heal the eyes.
  • Your doctor will prescribe you eye drops after the procedure. These eye drops help you to prevent any kind of infection or inflammation in the eyes after surgery. Don’t forget to use these drops.
  • Keep your eyes close for some minutes after using the eye drop so that your eyes can soak the eye drop and it will not flow out of your eyes.
  • Use a protective eye shield given by doctor to protect your eyes from dust, sunlight, and any other tiny particles after the operation.
  • Blink more, this will keep your eyes moisturized and help to avoid dryness in eyes.
  • Don’t rub your eyes as it can damage the flap and you may have to get to the procedure again.
  • Avoid touching your eyes with dirty hands.
  • Don’t splash water directly in your eyes and avoid washing your hair at least till two weeks of your operation
  • Say bye to eye makeup at least two weeks of your surgery.
  • Wear sunglasses while going out. It will protect you from harmful ultraviolet rays.
